Indie Casting, a Georgian entertainment and casting startup, had built early momentum through awards and local traction, but its digital presence no longer reflected its ambition. Founder Jon Scagos recognized the gap: their outdated website couldn’t support their next phase of growth, particularly as they prepared to enter international markets.

In December 2024, Indie engaged me to rethink their online presence – not simply redesign it, but reposition it as a launchpad for broader success.

(THE CHALLENGE)

While Indie’s product was evolving, their website remained static. It failed to communicate the value of their offering, suffered from low user engagement, and was disconnected from the brand’s future vision.

Indie faced two critical needs:

  • A digital identity that aligned with their new brand direction

  • A conversion-focused platform to drive inquiries and market entry

At the same time, with no internal design team and limited resources, they needed a partner who could own the process end-to-end and deliver quickly without compromising quality.

(OUR APPROACH)

We began by aligning on Indie’s long-term business goals: expanding into the Middle East, increasing app adoption, and building brand credibility beyond Georgia.

From there, we set clear priorities:

  1. Reposition the brand digitally:

    Through a minimalist, user-first design system rooted in Indie’s updated visual language.

  2. Build an intuitive, conversion-optimized UX:

    We designed a simple yet powerful navigation experience, incorporating swipe-inspired interactions that echoed the app’s core functionality.

  3. Deliver quickly and scale smartly:

    Using Webflow, we developed a fast, responsive, easily updateable platform – ensuring the client could maintain momentum post-launch.

Every design decision – from typography to micro-animations – was made to support user clarity, brand credibility, and growth-readiness.

(IMPACT AND RESULTS)

In the five days following launch, the redesigned Indie website generated 16 direct inquiries, a 16x increase compared to their previous monthly averages.

Website traffic tripled, with visitors spending significantly longer sessions engaging with the new content.

Most critically, the refreshed platform enabled Indie Casting to successfully establish a presence in the Saudi Arabian market, creating new business development opportunities almost immediately.
